Why Pay an Upfront Marketing F
Why Pay A Marketing Fee?
Real estate brokers and agents are typically paid after, and only if, a home actually closes. However, this creates a dilemma, for the agents and the sellers. Traditional real estate agents spend lots of money, on lots of things that the National Association of Realtors own statistics (see “You Want Proof?”) indicate don’t really work much at all! Now, since we know that some listings take much longer than others to sale, and sometimes listings expire and the original listing agent never gets paid at all. Do you see why traditional agents have to charge so much? They’ve already spent tons of money on houses that will either sit on the market for a long time, or will expire before the agent has an opportunity to get a return on his/her investment. High commissions are justified by the fact that some houses take much longer to sell than others, and sometimes agents lose listings to other agents. And, all along that agent is spending money on marketing that just doesn’t work! Believe me, we operated this way ourselves for years!
But, at WEGORealty, we are willing to greatly reduce the commission that is paid to us at closing (.5%…that’s point five percent at closing), IF you are willing to pay an upfront marketing fee of $500! (see “menu of services”). Example: On the sale of a $200,000 home, the seller would save $4,500 to $6,500, and that includes the upfront fee of $500, and a 3% commission paid to another real estate company if they bring the buyer. After everything is paid, you will still save $4,500 to $6,500 bucks!
Here’s the thing: If you are just planning on putting your home on the market to “test” the market, this may not be the program for you. The marketing fee is an up-front fee. However, if you are actually planning on selling your home, this is a no-brainer!!! Why? Well, you’re actually going to go through with selling your home, right? You are going to pay a real estate commission anyway, right? Why not pay THOUSANDS less? The only reason someone would not want to use WEGORealty, is if they are not really sure they want to actually sell their home!
